Are you ready for an A+ opportunity? At Whataburger, we build more than burgers — we help build futures. As part of our commitment to serving our communities, we're awarding $600,000 in scholarships to eligible students across our 14-state footprint for the 2024-2025 academic year. Now in its third year, the Whataburger Feeding Student Success Scholarship continues to invest in students, one scholarship at a time. A total of $600,000 in funds ($500,000 from Whataburger and $100,000 from Dr Pepper Snapple Group) will be awarded to 120 students as a non-renewable $5,000 scholarship. The award can be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and housing and is applicable at any college, university, or not-for-profit vocational school. “Support and funding shouldn’t be a barrier to any student’s success,” said Whataburger Community Relations Manager Allie Watters. “We want students to know Whataburger is in their corner. These scholarships will help students across the nation build the futures of their dreams.” Since launching in 2021, the Whataburger Feeding Student Success Scholarship has awarded over $1.2 million in academic support. The fund is part of our signature community program, Feeding Student Success, serving at the intersection of education and food insecurity. From now until Feb. 14, 2024 (or until a cap of 1,000 applications is reached - whichever comes first), students can learn more and apply for the scholarship here: https://lnkd.in/gw_6V6KV

Finally, it's here! 💃The 2023/2024 Academic Calendar📆 officially started today nationwide except in few places where the resumption date was postponed.A lot of changes has taken place: new pupils and students intakes in different schools, returning pupils/students moving into new classes, newly employed teachers and maybe a few changes around the school premises like the interiors etc.I can picture the smiles 😊 on the faces of the learners hugging and exchanging gists (conversations) of how they spent their summer holiday with their friends.I can also picture the excitement 😁 on their faces seeing their teachers again and even going to hug them, as well as the surprise ☺️ on the faces of some when they see the new teacher(s). It's always a very busy day on the first day of resumption in schools as registrations will be going on and also the giving out of stationery 📚🖊️📏 and other necessary items will all take place today.Am I saying there won't be any teaching and learning today? No....not all!All I'm saying is that today, it'd be more of settling in, introduction of new pupils/students & teachers, teachers getting to know their new pupils/students and vice versa, sharing of stories of how the summer holiday went because...... children love to tell stories (even when you don't think you are prepared for it) and everyone of them expects and would want to be heard 🙉 and then, learning of one or two subjects to wrap up the day.I know it'd be hectic 😔 for my fellow educators 👩🏫 today but I need you to know that in the end, the results would always be worth the stress and also that I'm rooting for you 💪Remember, it's been a long vacation and your learners have had to mix with other children with different attitudes, behaviours and habits, so you should be well prepared and ready to help them unlearn the bad ones when you notice any and encourage the good ones you notice as well.Let's keep moulding lives and raising future professionals.#30dayschallengewithpreciouskalu #happyschoolresumptionday #educationist

BLOG POST: Elevating Education: The Crucial Role of After-School Programs in Student SuccessBy Vivian McCarter-Blankson, Family Life Assistant DirectorWhen the school day ends, for many students, the real fun and growth happens during those extra hours spent in after-school programs! As a former participant in after-school programs, I have personally experienced the impact that a high quality program can have on a student. In fact, I apply the skills and experiences I developed in after-school programs to the professional job I have today. Fortunately, my experience is not isolated. READ MORE:

Once again, Hephzibah has proven that talent is the seed of greatness. But talent alone is not enough.Yes, talent alone is not enough to raise a purpose-driven child who can create a unique path for a successful and purposeful life. While talent can take a child to the top, character will keep them at the top.Rising to the top is not as difficult as staying at the top. To maintain balance at the top, character is the watchword but rising to the top without character is like standing on a branch of tree with hands in the pocket. At the Purposeful Children’s Academy, we don’t just train and coach the children to explore their talents. We explore talents and instil good character in children, part of the reason why our focus is narrowed on their minds. We nurture the children to become people of good character who will not struggle to maintain balance at the top.Registration slots for enrollment into the Purposeful Children’s Academy are fast going. Is your child(ren) registered?Remember that we will be working with a limited number of children and registration closes as soon as all slots are sold out. Pay an annual fee of N100KYou can book a slot with N10K non-refundable fee and complete your payment by instalment.Make a direct payment to;GTB 0114587243Oluchi MaduRemember, the Kids & Teens Summer Timeout is around the corner and an Early bird enrolment to the PCA gives a child a 20% discount for the Kids & Teens Summer Timeout.Enrollment for more than one child attracts a 10% discount and there’s an option for payment by instalment too.
