Proud owner of an ST5 for a few days now. Still waiting for the license plate, but secretly already had a small test drive. What a wonderful experience: Swiss perfection, runs like clockwork. Hans.

Thanks - it will work. Could it be that the Stromer automatically 'brakes' when you approach 50 km/h?

Yes that's right. In principle, Speed Pedelec may provide support up to 45 km/h. The speed indication on the Stromer is about 1.5 / 2 km/h higher than the actual speed (47 km/h is therefore approximately 45 km/h in practice). Then you can make some extra speed using muscle power, but around 48/49 km/h the engine starts to “slow down” more and more...

It does feel that way, but in reality it will simply provide less support. For me the support drops to a maximum of 150W, then you have to work seriously to go even faster (or go downhill / have a hurricane with you).

Thanks!. Good heavens: today, as it were, in the act of preventing an attempted theft. Some rascal was already dragging the bicycle, locked with a heavy Abus chain but not attached to a fixed object. To all Stromer users: good lock, attach it to a fixed object and I will definitely take out theft insurance now. Luckily I escaped unscathed... boy, the bike is 10 days old...

He started running very fast and in all the commotion I didn't chase after him. Glad I still have my bike. Damn - I'm not feeling well...

Wow, it's great that you were just in time, because apparently you don't have theft insurance yet?
Take out all-risk immediately, because an accident can happen very easily. And with a 10K bike, a slide can quickly become expensive.
